Bonita Gordon

Paralegal

Originally from Sonoma County, Bonita’s father was in the Air Force, and a Vietnam veteran; she moved many times and settled back in Sonoma County in 1979 to raise her family.

Bonita received her paralegal certificate from Sonoma State University in 2005. During and after graduation she volunteered at a legal clinic in Santa Rosa, assisting low-income families.  Over the years she has developed a specialty in Trust and Estates which encompasses estate planning, trust administration, probates, asset preservation, and special need trusts,

In doing so, Bonita draws upon her experience as a bookkeeper, residential loan officer, underwriter, and office manager all of which prepared her for working in estate planning and trust administration.

In her spare time, Bonita fuels her passion for volunteering by doing so for non-profits and the arts. Most recently she served on the Board of Directors for two non-profit agencies as President of North Bay West Coast Swing Dance Club for two years, and Marketing Director for six years. She was also Secretary for the State Theater in Red Bluff, California.  In 2019, she raised $9,000 for veterans as part of a dance team – Dancing with the Stars and Stripes.

Bonita says that she lives vicariously through artists and photographers and supports them however she can. Having recently moved to the Sonoma Valley she has fallen in love with the art galleries and the community. The community has opened their arms, and to complement those efforts Bonita has become a member of Sonoma Valley Newcomers to become more involved with the community.
